Greetings from Park City!
It has been a while since we posted last, and so much has happened!
I am posting some pictures from the photo shoot that took place showcasing some of our great summer clothes and Jewelry.

For those of you who don't know, we moved to Park City from Salt Lake City in late December.
It has been a perfect fit and we have decided to stay.

This model is showing off a pair of our sassy shorts on the town lift bridge. The corseted tank looks great paired with a summer scarf or by itself. Throw a flower in your hair and you are set with the most current look for the season.

If you are looking for something great to pair with leggings and again a summer scarf, this burnout tank/tunic is perfect.
The color is playful and versatile.
Notice the feather clip in the hair. If it isn't a flower, feathers seem to do the trick this season too.

This dress has been so popular, some of you may have already purchased one. It is the perfect piece for spring, summer, fall and winter, but since we are going in to summer, we are showing how fabulous it is paired with a scarf, clutch and the perfect necklace.
I am telling you, this dress looks great on EVERYONE.

This outfit combines so many elements and the result is a really great look.
The vest is very simple and is just the right amount of color. I am in love with the double braided leather belt too. I personally picked out the vintage one of a kind scarf and if someone doesn't buy it soon, I think I will add it to my own collection. It is a great piece.

This shirt is a store favorite. It is the perfect piece to wear to dinner, a concert, BBQ, you can't lose. The cut is great on any body type and comes in orange, navy and gold.
Check out the bangles and cool yellow clutch. It makes me want to find an occasion to dress up.

Are you looking for the perfect end of summer/back to school clothes?
Look no further. Hende has become one of our most popular lines at fawn.

Designer Holly Wren Spaulding really has her finger on the pulse of current fashion intertwined with art.
Her pieces are charming and wearable.

Also....If you happen to be on the prowl for the perfect baby gift or want to make sure your own offspring is clad in the sweetest/hip onsies, check out her baby line.

So cute. Please welcome Hende...

The name Hende is derived from the Hände, the German word for "Hands." In Middle English Hende also meant "noble, graceful, clever and beautiful."

Hende is a line of clothing inspired by the natural world, and brought to life by Holly Wren Spaulding.

Although her education and first calling was creative writing, she grew up with artists for parents and has always enjoyed Making things with her hands.

Hende is part of a growing handmade movement that is re-establishing relationships between those who create, and those who appreciate unique pieces that are direct from the artist, and very often “one-of-a-kind.” It is just one way to bring a little beauty into our daily lives.

Hende believes in good design, quality craft and materials that tread lightly on this earth. Hende makes small batches of thoughtfully brewed garments for those who are tired of mass-market, disposable fashion.

In addition to Hende, Holly divides her time between her writing desk, the college where she teaches poetry, and her printing and sewing studios.

She has spent many years as a community activist and organizer on issues ranging from the defense of the water commons to human rights and economic justice. She also appears in (and was a consultant on) the new feature documentary FLOW: For Love of Water, which will be released in theaters in September. Her first collection of poems, The Grass Impossibly, was released in April.

This weeks featured artist

Okay, this week I am happy to tell all of you about some amazing vintage pieces that have found their way to fawn.

Jenilee Gracey is a local artist who can take something as simple as a white slip, add some color, and make it a one of a kind dress that you will not want to conceal.
They are light weight and look great paired with sandals, heels, a tank top - you decide.

Come slip one on! (Couldn't resist)

Meet Jenilee.....

My name is Jenilee Gracey.
I grew up in Moab, UT and now live in the Ogden, UT area.
I have a wonderful husband named Nathan.
We have a fish, a cat named Ninja and 6 of her week old kittens, and a snake named Monkey.

This is a little hobby of mine---
I go hunting for vintage slips, and then put a modern twist on them.

They each are truly one of a kind.
Creation of all consists of a balance of deliberateness and surprise!

They simply don't make things like they used to.

That was part of the inspiration of using these vintage slips.

Beauty like that needs not be hidden under clothes!

Faceoff Design Studios

This week I am happy to introduce all of you to a product line that I find truly inspiring. I appreciate designer Calvin Cox for his commitment to using his artistic voice to elicit change. His designs are passionately creative, and are a peaceful way to inspire shifts in our thinking and in our world. Fawn is proud to carry and sell products from Faceoff Design Studios.

Faceoff Design Studios About The Designer
Faceoff Design Studios is a Fashion Apparel Company whose f
ocus is primarily graphic design. Graphics that tend to reveal the truth about our world both overtly and covertly depending on how receptive you are to the message. The owner likes to describe the company as “A Graphic Statement of Social Revolution”. Faceoff Design Studios was founded by Calvin Cox, a New York Fashion Designer and a Fashion Institute of Technology Alumni. His influence and candid creativity stems from his exposure to the colorful truth he calls New York City. His pieces reveal the true essence of the human condition and tries to reveal and cure the short comings of our immediate preoccupation of the status quo.

With T-shirts with themes like “Freem
an” and “Live Fashion Love Life” emblazed on the shirts, Calvin believes that positive reinforcement of a better time and place will lead to a manifestation of such phases for the person that wears it and for the people that see it.

“I like to know when people wear my clothing, and look in the mirror that they are reinforced of their purpose in life” says Calvin. Other well received graphic tees are “Natural High, I live Fashion” and “Freeman World”.

And we're off!

Welcome to fawn's blog!

Our boutique has been a dream collaboration for both of us. As longtime friends and artists, we wanted to provide our fellow artists with a venue to showcase and sell their work. Their diverse styles serve as the perfect complement to our mainstream lines.

Our artists are a huge part of our success! We have clothing, jewelry, and cards from artists all over the country - from Brooklyn, New York, to Oakland, California - and everywhere in between! They create exclusive designs that we're proud to carry. We love to offer things to our customers that can't be found anywhere else in Utah. We'll post Artist Showcases that feature the work and story of our artists so you can get to know them better.

We are so excited to have our blog up! We can't wait to share the latest updates about our store with you - announcements about new clothing or jewelry, special events, and background on our artists. Keep checking back for more updates as we continue to grow and find the newest items you just have to have! Cheers!
